Kannur: Anti-drug day was observed in Kannur town under the leadership of Kannur town police station and residents associations of Kannur. "Punch the bag and kick the drug devil campaign" was organized against drugs at Kannur town police station at 10 am. In the evening, under the leadership of Kannur ACP Sri T K Ratnakumar, around 29 resident associations and police jointly organized an anti-drug message rally. Kannur City Police Commissioner Sri Ilango R IPS flagged off the anti drug message rally. Kannur Corporation Mayor Sri T O Mohanan, Kannur District Panchayat President Smt. P P Divya etc participated. The anti-drug message rally attended by about 1000 people started from the police ground and ended at the police ground around the city. Rally participants took pledge against drug use.
